Fuyara
Traditional Slovak fuyara is long fipple flute with only 3-holes, played in standing position. It is using the natural harmonics system and the overtone scale achieved by controlling the strength of in-blown air.
Ethnopunk Fuyara
It is custom fuyara designed by MK with collaboration of traditional fuyara maker in Slovakia.
There are several major adjustments.
1. it is shorter
2. it has holes placed on the side, so it can be played comfortably in sitting position as traversed flute
3. the main tuning of the fuyara is not standard 440Hz, but 432Hz
4. the scale of the fuyara is not traditional, but rather special sounding oriental scale
